Back to reality: Island Chill Yacht Chartersand Chesapeake Bay Yacht Charters are all about the Chesapeake Bay - its expansive waters, rivers, creeks, bays, coves, shorelines, human accomplishments, birds, fish, crabs and oysters. There's lots to see and we'll balance where we go and what we do according to your requests, our experience and cruise opportunities. Here are the places we can visit - you can also check out our Decoration Packages for your celebrations and Water Toys to play with at anchor too.

South River

John Smith passed the entrance to the South River in 1607 and encountered many native Americans in the area who told him of the bounty of the area: fish, crabs and oysters. The creeks of the South River are indeed a major breeding ground for many Atlantic fish species like rockfish, herring and maidenhead in spring, and a major source of food for pods of dolphin in late summer when the young fish migrate out of the creeks into deeper water. Its XXX square miles are bordered by about XXX miles of shoreline with over 12 significantly sized creek - each a Chesapeake gem we love to explore and anchor.

  • Harness Creek: Bordered on its south bank by the pristine woodlands of Quiet Waters Park and the north bank by some of the most expensive real estate in Anne Arundel County. It's a gorgeous venue to anchor - check out our photographs. Harness Creek can be a popular anchorage (July/August; Saturday/Sunday) so the main cove is a great place to join the party atmosphere. Wave to everyone as we glide to anchor - usually close to the entrance so we get the southerly breezes. After water toy fun, we usually explore further into the creek - pick a house to buy, say hello to the crew of the many international boats at anchor, or just enjoy the peaceful wildness of the forest and wetland preserve. Our Storyteller - Attenborough Natural History charter often comes here.
  • Almhouse Creek
  • Glebe Bay

Glebe Bay has a hidden secret - in the backwater of  Glebe Creek, there's a pristine marshland area full of grasses, reeds and sedges with myriads of bird species - from bald eagles and herons to warblers and shorebirds. Pass the binoculars...
